Shinonome, Akihabara, Omoide Yokocho

We had a pretty busy day today, got a lot done, bought a lot of shit and had a lot of fun. We got a good nights sleep, the night before we got a great dinner in Shibuya (why the fuck were all the other good places closed for private partys?). We also caught the VERY last train out of Shibuya and let me tell you, the Japanese know how to cram onto a train. I had never seen anything like this even with how much time I have spent in Japan. We were literally crushing people on the train, it was ridiculous they just keep packing more people in, I really feel bad for the people next/below us haha. We woke up and decided we wanted to go to Shinonome to go to Super Autobacs, the famous car parts store. On the way through Shinjuku to get to the station we stopped at Beef Bawl (haha) a Japanese resturaunt. You order your food through a vending machine then give the ticket to one of the girls behind the bar and in about 3 minutes you have your food haha. I got some steak that I had to cook myself on the searing hot plate with rice. Brent and Bill got fried pork bowls with egg on top! It was very interesting and made all of us feel interesting for a few minutes after as it was early in the morning but it was very good. Super Autobacs is basically a HUGE Pep Boys style store but it is actually awesome and not totally crappy like Pep Boys. We all managed to spend more then we should have but got a lot of really cool stuff, Brent and I came up on some sweet 1/16th scale E30 M3's for $40 and Bill got a really really cool shift knob for his WRX.

We came back to the hotel to drop off our bags as they were full and we were all tired of carrying them at this point. We rested for an hour or so then decided we should go to Akihabara the Electronics district. Akihabara is always a fun experience as you can see the craziest electronics available in the world. The Yobadashi Camera here is huge, something like 9 stories just full of stuff. We found an RC car store which was sweet, they had an electric USA-1 hanging on the wall which was awesome. I had actually picked up a few rc parts at Autobacs earlier for dirt cheap. Not much else to say about Akihabara except how cool all the electronics are and how overwhelming it can be with all the lights and products....We got a couple of Prime Time tall boys then headed back to Shinjuku. We walked through Omoide Yokocho to get some ramen but were over the lines so we found some Japanese food place in the 2nd basement floor of this building and went there. It was good food and we got to cook it ourselves which was cool, after that we just headed back to the hotel and messed around for a bit then went t bed.
